Lifestraw is a portable water filtration device that provide access to safe drinking water while the user is away from home, eg outdoor overnight.

Features:

Usage:

Lifestraw was tested at the University of North Carolina for microbial reduction performance. The following micro-organism were tested:
-Bacteria: Escherichia coli B (gram-negative bacteria indicator of faecal contamination)
-Bacteria: Enterococcus faecalis (gram-positive bacteria indicator of faecal contamination)
-Virus: MS-2 coliphage (~25 nM diameter viral indicator of human enteric viruses)

Various samples of the Lifestraw were evaluated. The following table shows an overall analysis of the reduction of E.faecalis, E.coli B and MS-2 filtered water.
